Porcelain Media

Hard porcelain balls and cylinders without abrasive grain: densify and polish the surface without cutting it.

Applications

  • Final polishing after deburring
  • Stainless steel accessories and kitchenware
  • Brass and aluminium decorative parts
  • Jewelry and costume jewelry

Working Principle

Porcelain media contain no abrasive grain; they are made of hard, smooth porcelain fired at high temperature. They work by rubbing rather than cutting the part surface: they densify and polish it at micro level. They are used for the final polishing step after deburring.

They come in ball, cylinder and angle-cut cylinder forms. Used with a polishing compound they give a high gloss on stainless steel, brass and aluminium surfaces.

Advantages

  • Does not cut the surface, dimensions stay unchanged
  • High gloss
  • Very long life
  • Clean operation, little sludge
