Working Principle
A finishing compound is the additive mixed into the water in the vibratory machine. It carries away the metal dust and oil removed by the media, prevents the media pores from clogging and protects the part surface. Without the right compound even the best media loses its efficiency quickly.
Deburring compounds clean intensively with low foam; polishing compounds form a film on the surface and increase gloss; passivating grades delay rusting of steel parts after processing. The compound is selected according to the part material and the process step.
