Centrifugal Disc (Turbo) Finishing Machines

Centrifugal disc machine with a rotating base: intensive abrasion for deburring and polishing in a fraction of the bowl-machine cycle time.

Applications

  • Small and medium machined parts
  • Jobs needing precise deburring and high gloss
  • Jewelry and accessory parts
  • Series production with short cycle times

Working Principle

In a centrifugal disc machine the base of a fixed cylindrical chamber rotates at high speed. The media and parts, thrown outwards by centrifugal force, climb the chamber wall and fall back down through the centre; this continuous circulation gives a contact intensity many times higher than that of bowl machines.

As a result the same deburring or polishing job is finished in minutes. It is ideal where a high surface quality on small and medium parts is needed in a short time. The gap between disc and chamber is adjustable to suit different part sizes.

Advantages

  • Much shorter cycle time than bowl machines
  • High abrasion intensity, homogeneous result
  • Compact footprint
  • Adjustable disc gap for different part sizes
