Working Principle
Ceramic media are produced by firing abrasive grains with a ceramic binder at high temperature. Their hard, heavy structure removes burrs quickly from durable materials such as steel, stainless steel and castings and levels machining marks on the surface. They come in triangle, cylinder, angle-cut cylinder, star and ball shapes; the shape is chosen according to access to the recessed areas of the part.
Abrasiveness is graded from light to very heavy. Heavy-cut media deburr in a short time; light-cut media level and pre-polish without damaging the surface.
